Soul on Paper by SoulfulPenguin
Sarah Cooke, a writer and poet who goes by SoulfulPenguin on Instagram asked me to design the front and back cover of her poetry book. She has over 100k followers and posts a poem a day. I was able to take her detailed ideas and image that she had for her cover and bring it to life! It was a pleasure working with her and I am very happy with how it came out. Sarah sent me her handwriting for the title on the cover and I brought it into Procreate and rewrote it digitally using a black calligraphy brush stroke.
The ripped through paper was hand drawn by me in Procreate with a light shadow to give it some dimension. The background image is a blurred collage of Sarah’s printed out poems.
